5 Great Ways to Customize Your Modular Home

Just imagine that you could customize a home before it’s built. What would you do?
Here are 5 of the great ideas we’ve seen or heard about.
1. Guest suite. Usually homes have a master bedroom and then a couple of bedrooms all grouped together. When family or friends spend the night, they’re walking down the same hall as you. Give them the luxury they deserve (and give yourself the privacy you want) by designing a home with a bedroom off of another area of the home. A small guest suite will make your guests feel welcome without you feeling like your privacy is compromised.
2. Open concept kitchen, dining room, living room. Lots of homes have a kitchen and dining room together, and a living room separate. But what if you could have all three for the same price? Custom modular homes give you that luxury.
3. A hobby room and a home theatre room. Don’t settle for one room to do both activities. Design a home with room for each.
4. Play room. Don’t have the kids’ toys underfoot! They’ll love playing in their own playroom. (Hint: let them decorate it the way they want and the rest of your house will enjoy more peace and quiet than you’ll know what to do with).
5. Business area. Run a home business? Some people are forced to work off the kitchen table or in a spare bedroom, but with a custom designed modular home, you could set up your own office area.
Custom homes are no longer the domain of the wealthy. We regular folks can also enjoy custom homes that are also cheaper and faster to build, and environmentally friendly.
